This is our 14" Olla Bottle. All you have to do is fill it, check it in about 1/2 hour to see the water level and refill if needed after that just check once a week usually to see if you need to refill it. The picture being shown of it cut in half is being used as a teaching tool at The Biosphere in Oracle AZ!!! They sell them too! We've used these on various plants, anything from every type of vegetable to shrubs, vines, flowers and succulents. We also sell 2 different Kits, one is the Economy Kit that includes a basic reservoir, 6 balls, fittings and tubing. 2nd kit is a 5 gallon reservoir bucket with 25 balls, fittings and tubing. We sell 10, 12 and 14" Tall Olla Bottles that are hand filled. We also sell a 12" Olla Spike that can also have a wine or 1 liter bottle inverted into it for extra watering. We have found many pro's with our system, I *believe* less mosquitos because the ground isn't wet to the touch and they aren't sprinklers spraying everywhere making puddles in whatever is in the way. Less weeds because the plant is going to hog the bottle and not share. You save money and water! You can also put this system just about anywhere! Just because you don't have traditional irrigation, doesn't mean you can't get a bucket and sit it on a brick and break ground. You can have your garden anywhere with this. About Ollas: Ollas (?Oh Yah?) are an ancient technique used for the purpose
of irrigating crops. They are
traditionally made out of a low fire terra cotta clay. Their first use was discovered in China and
North Africa more than 4,000 years ago. Ollas
usually produce lusher plants with higher yields of produce, because they do
not undergo stress cycles due to improper watering (ie: too much, too little
too much time in between, flooding plants etc?) Let's talk Shipping and Returns: I only ship priority mail due to the material. I package well, as good as I can. There can be breakage occasionally. If you find something broken I must have a picture of item(s) emailed immediately and if it is my fault I will replace that item. I am a one woman shop and I make every piece by hand and do not have a lot of inventory usually, what I make sells as fast as I can get it made.
