Antique Metal Hot/Cold Water Bottle, Guessing it may have been a bed

Antique metal water bottle that could most likely have been used for cold or hot water and even a bed warmer. measures approx. 13 1/2" long, 8" wide and 4" tall. copper handle.  Made in Russia and had patents in Germany, France, Great Britain, Austria, Japan and Australia.  May have a date on it but not seeing it, this information was on the top of the knob that screws into the lid of the container.
