Victoria Brunnen, Mineral Water Bottle, Oberlahnstein German c. 1870 in excellent condition for its age, 150 years plus. This old Salt Glaze S toneware German mineral water bottle, with applied handle is from Oberlahnstein, a town in Rhineland, Germany , a famous castle called Schloss Martinsburg, site of where good king Wenceslaus was deposed in 1400. This rare mineral water bottle was made for the American market and dates from the 1870s or so. There are a few imperfections, including over the stamp, but the stamp is still readable. There is a small chip on the side. It's 11 3/4" tall by 3 3/8" round and marked NO 2. A very nice bottle for any salt glazed collection.
